There are several ways to add calcium to a bird's diet, including:
Calcium supplements: You can add calcium supplements to your bird's food. These supplements can come in the form of a powder or a liquid and are readily available in pet stores. Follow the dosage instructions provided on the label. Powdered egg shells works sprinkled on food!
Cuttlebone: Cuttlebone is a great source of calcium for birds. It is a hard, chalky substance that is made from the internal skeleton of a cuttlefish. You can attach cuttlebone to the side of the birdcage using a clip or holder.
Calcium-rich foods: Certain foods are high in calcium and can be added to your bird's diet. These include dark, leafy greens such as kale, spinach, and collard greens, as well as broccoli, carrots, and sweet potatoes.
I use chicken calcium pellets; just a handful will do in a gallon jug. I add water over them and let them soak overnight to water my birds. It neutralizes any acids and also allows for a little extra calcium to get into the water. Also add pellets to let the chickens or quail consume them as well.
It's important to ensure that your bird is getting enough calcium in its diet, as calcium deficiency can lead to health problems such as weak bones and egg binding.
